Well, nor Melissa or i, made it to the Main Event!! :(

Melissa got very close in the satellites, she played in quite a few and made 2 or 3 final tables only to come up short. A particularly sick one was a 7 to 1 chip lead heads-up battle.... that ended badly!!

I didn't play in as many as i wished but was very confident going into Full Tilt's "last chance" $215 satellite. I doubled up on the very first hand but blew it a couple of hours later on a hand i still can't get out of mind!!

I raise in position with QsJs and both blinds call. The flop comes 4h, 7s, 9s. I like the flop and it's checked to me so i make a pot sized bet (mistake it turns out). The small blind calls and the big blind raises all-in, i have him covered but not the small blind. Now i've trapped myself!! I figure even if i'm up against a set i have the right price, plus i feel i committed so many chips, i push all-in. The small blind also calls.

I'm up against TWO sets!!! 44 and 99. Any spade or running str8 cards...please!! The sick turn AND river are Queens!!

Oh well...next year for sure!!!

The sick thing is Minh Nguyen didn't even show up today and was finally blinded off around Midnight Vegas time.....he could have called if he didn't want to bother!!!

Walker survives late action and makes it through day one!!

The last 18 minutes proved very lucky for Danny....low on chips he was all-in twice with much the worse of it and defied the odds to build a pretty nice stack of over $38,000

Danny faced a set and defeated it by back dooring a str8 and all in with pocket fours he bested pocket kings by flopping a set!

Like they say you got to play good AND get lucky to win one of these....and Danny seems to be doing exactly that!!
