Is it just Poker Players who think this is ridiculous??
Authorities putting a lot of time and money suppressing social poker games and charity fundraisers....is it it just poker players who see this as ridiculous and a huge waste of resources??

You are right on Kristi....The Letters to the Editor section has definitely been pointing out what seems so obvious to us! Hopefully, this whole thing has a silver lining!!! Keep up the good work Kristi.

Aaron...as Melissa touched on, we have to voice our opinions where and whenever we have the opportunity.
The exchange of ideas and concerns on this forum is a good starting point but we have to use other forums we have access to, like the newspapers and our state and local representatives....all this can be done easily from your home by e-mail.
This week i will be compiling a list of all candidates involved in the upcoming elections...i will e-mail all of them asking for their stance on poker and the possibility of them supporting a charity poker tournament bill. I will set up a blog topic and we can keep track of their responses. I urge you all to contact your prospective candidates and see where they stand. I would advise all of you to limit the questions to poker and poker tournaments...questions like "stance on gambling" could be detrimental...the G word seems to be inflammatory and as we know the skill side of our game clearly outweighs the gambling/luck factor. This is a point the uninformed just don't understand!
